Our Forestyne gown is designed to make you look like you’re stepping out of a medieval painting

The Forestyne dress is designed to make you look like a beautiful courtesan in a renaissance painting! It can be worn to ren faires, festivals, concerts, or casually, if you like feeling like a princess on a daily basis!

Made out of a durable fabric that doesn’t crease or snag easily, this dress has a wide circle skirt that is pleated by hand all around the waist. The dress has a boned bodice that is adjustable, lacing in 3 different places: in front and on both sides. The top adjusts on the sides with fabric loops, and in front with metal eyelets, both laced with sateen cord, corset style.

The dress is designed to have V shaped gap in front, optically making the waist seem smaller and the bust seem fuller.

The beautiful sateen bows are not just decorative, but they can be untied, controlling how high or low the top sits on your bust. You can choose to tie the ribbons lower, exposing more of the chest, or tie them higher, covering the chest completely.

The top has a beautifully decorated trim going all around the square neckline, and also around the sleeves, above the elbow.

Because the top is boned and adjusts with lacing, it cinches the waist and bust, lifting the breasts and giving the torso an elegant slimmed look, accentuating the curves of the body. No bra is needed when wearing this dress. The top, when laced tight, is very supportive to the bust.

The white linen chemise is simple and classic, with short sleeves. It is wide and gathered. The neckline and cuffs are gathered by elastic. The dress is fully lined with the same fabric as the rest of the dress.

Forestyne’s sleeves are like long breezy capes for your arms. They are made of a full circle of fabric each and they attach to the dress at the shoulders and they tie with 4 sateen ribbons on each sleeve.

The white chemise is designed to be seen through the gaps of the sleeves, like in a beautiful renaissance painting!

The skirt is 110 cm long! (43 in)

The skirt length is measured from the natural waist (6 cm / 2 in above belly button) to the ground. If you need a different length please contact us!

The bodice features a beautifully ornate brocade with ivory and golden details, and with red or green vertical stripes, matching the chemise.

The corset laces with eyelets at the center back and with fabric loops on both sides. This makes the corset very adjustable and versatile!

The straps are also adjustable, tying with ribbons to the front of the corset.

The chemise has long puffed sleeves / virago sleeves.

The chemise is cropped as not to peak from under the corset.

The pattern includes 2 side panels (one on each side) from where the wearer can adjust the corset to their specific size. The stays are fully boned with synthetic boning. They are not meant to drastically chinch the waist, only to supporting the wearers bust and smoothen the shape of the torso.

While a lot of thought and care was put into the design and construction of these garments, these are fashion items and not stays (or corsets) meant for tightlacing or for remodeling one’s body.

The name of this dress, Evelyn, is inspired by a character from Anne Rice’s novel series, The Witching Hour.

Our Evelyn gown is designed to make you look like you’re stepping out of a realm of timeless elegance, and is carefully drafted, cut, sewn and packed by just four caring hands: Oana’s and Maria’s; in our home workspace.

Made out of a durable fabric that doesn’t crease or snag easily, this dress has a very wide skirt made of a full circle pleated by hand all around the waist. The bottom hem of this dress is 10 meters wide (33 feet) so the skirt is very wide and it drapes beautifully.

Evelyn has a natural waistline, and the pleats around the hips emphasize the waist, making it seem smaller in comparison to the full skirt.

The top has an off the shoulder neckline, and is decorated with intricate beading, and a golden twisted rope trim that has been shaped into an ornate design.

The golden and black glass beads as well as the twisted rope trim and all other decorations are carefully and meticulously hand sewn to the dress.

The sleeves are made of gathered chiffon, and are each 3 meters wide (10 feet), so they are very full and dramatic.

The dress is fully lined and closes with a eyelets at the back.

These corsets can adjust between S to 3XL.

Measurements: Bust 75 to 127 cm (29 to 50 in), Waist 65 to 112 cm (25 to 44 in).

All of these stays are drafted and handmade by us. We made the patterns ourselves in our home atelier, chose the fabrics for their quality, cut and sewn the corsets with the utmost care and regard for the type of fabric it’s made of and with the durability of the item in mind.

These particular corsets, made of atelier leftovers, were designed such as to utilize the beautiful fabrics we had left from previous projects and the trims, notions, foam roses that we don’t use anymore.

Properly cared for, this garment should last for many years.

Because the Evanna stays are highly adjustable, as one’s weight fluctuates through the years, the wearer doesn’t need to repurchase the stays when the wearer naturally goes up or down in size.

Wear and versatility has been the most important factors in designing these garments: the wearer can dress up or down these stays and wear them with different outfits, from casual outfits with jeans and a turtleneck as depicted in the pictures to more fancier outfits for elegant occasions.

The cotton fabric has a toile de Jouy print, depicting landscapes, people and flowers.
